World Business Council for Sustainable Development's Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol

The Protocol sets out "methodologies to business and other organisations to inventory and report all of the GHG emissions they produce". The Protocol is for Company Directors (Vocational Level 5) and Managers (Level 4). This Protocol directs companies and organisation to formulate their plans and policies.

Our Carbon Counter Toolkit aims to help Managers (VL 4) and Autonomous workers - those free to move round at work, such as supervisors and employee representatives (VL 3). The GHG Protocol helps provide policies, while our Carbon Counter Toolkit helps translate these policies to workplace procedures.

CCT sees the Target, not as an end point, but more like in an environmental management system, where it is used to help direct action. First set the target , then explore the various forms of action that can be taken to achieve the targets.
