FAQs

1. Why should we in UK, bother when the US does most polluting, and India and China are going to create a lot more?

Ans: From a D.Miliband @ Hay Festival 07.

If you think I can negotiate with US, India and China if we are not doing what we are saying needs doing, think again.

What we say:

With China now overtaking US in total emissions (but still 1/4 in terms of per capita), how much of their emissions is due to relocation of Western industry - eg Steel production and toy making. eg Wal-Mart import nearly a tanker a day of toys from China.

2. Is there an agreed way of counting carbon emissions?

Ans: No..

But follow the rapidly developing story at label.htm

3. Is there one particular way that is best to tackle carbon dioxide emissions?

Ans: From an A. Gore, previously the next President of USA

There is not a "silver bullet"...it is more like "silver buckshot".
