Carbon Trust Launch Carbon Label

The Carbon Trust launched in March 2007 a carbon reduction label that demonstrates a commitment from companies to reduce the carbon footprint of their products.

The label and methodology will be trialled by a number of major brands to test and build consumer understanding. It is hoped that the new label will help consumers make purchasing decisions by displaying a measure of a product’s carbon content from source to store.
