Draft a Proposal for reducing carbon footprint

You have now worked through the steps, identified scopes, set boundaries, measured, counted, assessed, set targets and looked at the different ways of achieving targets for combating both direct and indirect GHG emissions.

You are now going to make a proposal and gain the support of senior management.

Your proposal will:

  • outline your initiative
  • identify the scopes and boundaries included
  • explain how you arrived at a carbon footprint figure
  • describe which issues are being addressed
  • present your target
  • state which emissions will be reduced
  • identify the indicators
  • calculate the carbon savings
  • examine possible cost incurred (standard cost/benefit analysis)
  • determine how you will measure progress
