What size is your Christmas Footprint?
'A carbon footprint equivalent to 6,000 car journeys around the world will be produced by the UK tucking into Christmas dinner. The UK's love of the traditional turkey dinner will generate 51,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide. A dinner for eight generates 20kg (44lbs) of carbon dioxide emissions' (more from BBC).
How many miles will you drive? (
Answer)

Use the images below that represent what you will do over Christmas. These are your 'seasonal functions' that fall within the boundary of your footprint.
Decide how much energy was spent in carrying out these functions using a
life cycle analysis.
Drag each image around the screen and position according to whether you consider lyou are making a large / medium / small footprint. More energy used = higher carbon emissions = larger footprint. (There are no right or wrong answers).
Click the images remaining on the left of your screen to help you position your footprint more accurately.
Score each image: from 10 for large footprint down to 1 for small.
